Customer Names and Phones Not Loading from Square

Square takes a little while to update customer information on an order, so we continue checking for customer information for 8 minutes after the transaction has been completed. Weebly (Square's online store) may take this full amount of time to send the customer data.

If you've waited and the name and phone number never load, please check our other article on integrating your waitlist with Square to make sure you are adding customers to your transactions correctly.

When creating transactions in Square, make sure to do the following:

  • Hit "New Sale" after adding the customer transaction
  • Complete the transaction after opening a new tab. If the transaction is not completed, TablesReady won't be notified to import the information. 
  • Edit the customer and add their phone number. If you do not edit a customer to add their phone number, the customer information will likely not populate. This is because the customer profile is likely auto-generated from the credit card information. Credit card information is protected by additional security, so you have to edit the customer to make it available to us.
