Healthcare Quick Start Guide

After working with so many Healthcare locations, we've got a pretty good idea about what needs to be done to get your SMS waitlist set up for your business. With TablesReady, it's only 3 easy steps and won't take you long, I promise.

By the end, you'll be able to add your appointments to TablesReady, automatically send reminder notifications and check-in patients via SMS, and notify them when their provider is ready for them.


1. Import Appointments

Create a custom report in your EHR to show the next day's appointments (including their name, phone number, and the date & time of the appointment), then go to Appointments > Import to import them into TablesReady. Or, if you want to bust out your developer chops, check our our API, Webhooks, or Zapier integration to automatically import appointments.

2. Customize Your SMS Notifications & Automations

Welcome to the World of Notification Automation

Head to Settings > Notifications and customize up to 8 different notifications — if you plan on importing your appointments, the Reminder SMS is particularly useful! Try something like "Your appointment is in 60 minutes. Reply 'here' when you've arrived in the parking lot."

Take it to the next level and make your notifications work for you — pop into Settings > Automations to enable up to 5 different SMS automations. The Check-In Automation is the perfect complement to your Reminder SMS; patients can respond and automatically be checked in, then you can send your Ready Notification when it's their turn to be seen.

3. Explore Contactless Check-In Options

Save Time and Automate Your Wait

If you offer walk-in appointments, our contactless check-in options can save you time (and help maintain social distancing!). Go to the Settings > Public Pages section to create and download a QR code you can post around your location, or grab an embed code to add your waitlist to your website!
